Sydney Sweeney may be about to swap the Hollywood Hills for honey-coloured stone cottages. According to The Sun, the Euphoria and White Lotus star has viewed a property in Little Tew, a small village in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, and has told friends she would like to split her time equally between England and the United States.
Why the Cotswolds?
A source quoted by the paper said Sydney, 29, has visited the area twice in the past ten months and "absolutely loves it," viewing property there within the last three months. The insider said she enjoys how relaxed village life is, with locals used to famous faces, and sees it as a calmer alternative to Los Angeles.
There is a practical side too. Pinewood Studios is roughly an hour away, which the source said would let her stay at home while filming in the UK, including on the new James Bond film if she were to land a role.
A famous postcode
If the move happens, Sydney would join a long list of famous Cotswolds residents. The Sun lists David and Victoria Beckham, Jeremy Clarkson, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Celebrity Traitors stars Claudia Winkleman and James Blunt, and Prince Harry and Meghan among those with links to the area.
The paper also pointed to a Savills report showing North American buyers made up a growing share of high-end Cotswolds sales last year.
Scooter Braun and a UK connection
Sydney is understood to be planning the move with her boyfriend, music executive Scooter Braun, 45. The pair reportedly met at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding in June last year.
She already has a soft spot for the region. Last Christmas, she shared photos from a Cotswolds break at the celebrity favourite Soho Farmhouse, and she spent time in England this year filming an adaptation of Edith Wharton's The Custom of the Country with fellow White Lotus star Leo Woodall.
Locals quoted by The Sun said they would welcome her with open arms, with one calling her "a lovely woman."
Neither Sydney nor her representatives have publicly commented on the reported move.
