Kim Kardashian isn't letting bad reviews slow her down.
The 46-year-old reality star turned actress stepped out in New York for the premiere of the second season of her Hulu legal drama All's Fair, and used the moment to brush off the harsh criticism that greeted the show's debut, according to The Sun.
Kim turned heads on the carpet in a custom grey crocodile-effect leather corseted gown by Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi. She was joined by co-stars Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close, Niecy Nash-Betts and Naomi Watts for the screening.
Controversy creates success
The first season of All's Fair, which follows a group of female divorce lawyers who launch their own firm, was savaged by critics. It holds a six per cent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and one British newspaper called it possibly “the worst television drama ever made.” Even so, it pulled in 3.2 million views in its first three days.
Kim told reporters she hopes the new run lands better, but made clear she isn't chasing awards. “I think history has proven that controversy can create success,” she said. “It just shows that you could make something just for the watchers and fans to enjoy. It doesn't have to be critically acclaimed.”
Sarah Paulson backed her up, adding: “Not everything has to be an opportunity for some awards celebration.”
Season 2 schedule
New episodes of All's Fair season 2 drop every Wednesday on Hulu, with the finale set for December 2.
