Jon Gosselin has opened up about the painful distance between him and his eldest daughters, saying twins Madelyn and Cara now feel like “strangers” to him.
Thirteen years of silence
Speaking on the Legally Goff Podcast this week, the 49-year-old former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star said he has not seen the 26-year-olds in years and claimed he was cut out of their lives by ex-wife Kate Gosselin when they were about 13. He said he has never had a reply from them and that 13 years of silence has “pretty much eaten my soul away”.
Missing milestones
Jon, who now works as a DJ, said he simply wants some kind of response, even a short text. He described missing graduations and proms and admitted he knows nothing about their lives today, from whether they drive to whether they are dating. He said that even with old photos, he doubts he could pick them out in a crowd.
A divided family
The family split played out on television after Jon and Kate divorced in 2009. Jon is also estranged from four of the couple’s 22-year-old sextuplets, Leah, Alexis, Aaden and Joel, but has close relationships with Collin and Hannah, who both lived with him.
Kate Gosselin has not responded publicly to his latest comments.
