Fans of the country trio Taylor Red are mourning after the group revealed that Nicole Taylor has died at the age of 35 following a years-long fight with breast cancer.

Her triplet sisters, Nika and Natalie Taylor, shared the heartbreaking news in a YouTube video, telling fans their big sister is now “at peace and no longer suffering.” The sisters said they are “still processing everything” and admitted it was hard to talk about, but wanted to share some of Nicole’s story.

A Diagnosis That Came Out of Nowhere

According to the sisters, Nicole was diagnosed in 2022, and the family got the shocking news while they were out in public. She later learned she had Stage 3 breast cancer that doctors described as very aggressive.

Even so, Nicole refused to let fear take over. Natalie said her sister pushed everyone around her to keep having fun, and that she even kept up CrossFit workouts while going through chemotherapy. The sisters also spoke about Nicole’s faith, recalling a day at church soon after her diagnosis when she was prayed over and felt a deep sense of peace that stayed with her.

“Our Leader and Our Best Friend”

Nika and Natalie have set up a memorial page for Nicole, which says she died on September 28. In a statement, they described Nicole, the oldest of the three, as “our leader and our best friend,” and said that while they are heartbroken, they believe they will see her again. The family has already held a private funeral.

From Red Roots to a Social Media Phenomenon

The red-haired identical triplets grew up playing guitar, banjo, fiddle and mandolin, and first performed as Red Roots before becoming Taylor Red. During the pandemic, their perfectly synchronized comedy skits, transition clips and music challenges took off online, building a following of more than 13 million on TikTok and 16 million subscribers on YouTube. The trio also worked with brands including Sonic Drive-In, Crocs, Lipton and Skittles.

Our thoughts are with Nika, Natalie and the whole Taylor family.
