Former Disney Channel star Ross Lynch has confirmed what fans had been whispering about for months: he is a married man.
The 30-year-old actor and Driver Era musician showed up to the New York premiere of his new Netflix film Heartland on Thursday, Nov. 5, wearing a gold band on his ring finger. When People asked whether that meant he was married, Lynch did not dodge the question.
“Yes, yes I am,” he said. “I’m not trying to shy away from that by any means, but I am trying to, you know, my wife’s not very fond of celebrity. So I am trying to be sensitive towards that and respectful to her. But everything’s going well.”
Lynch did not name his wife or share a wedding date on the Metrograph red carpet. He also told People he has been focusing heavily on his private life lately and that the shift has felt “really gratifying,” adding that he is excited about whatever comes next.
The confirmation still landed as a surprise to casual fans — but not to anyone who has been watching his Instagram closely. After roughly a year away from the app, Lynch returned on June 29 with a carousel captioned “Been a minute, what did I miss?” A follower flipped the question back at him with a ring emoji; Lynch replied, “Hahaha A LOT,” plus a shushing face. An Aug. 22 post that opened with “I’ve got a serious coffee addiction atm” again showed the gold band on his finger.
Online sleuths have floated a first name — Anna — and claimed Lynch told a concert meet-and-greet earlier this year that he had been married since before Christmas 2025. Lynch himself has not publicly confirmed any of those details, and The Sun noted he has not disclosed his wife’s identity.
Lynch first broke big in the early 2010s as Austin Moon on Disney’s Austin & Ally, then starred in the Teen Beach Movie franchise and later played Harvey Kinkle on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. He also portrayed a young Jeffrey Dahmer in the 2017 indie My Friend Dahmer. In recent years he has poured more energy into music with brother Rocky Lynch in The Driver Era, after earlier success with family band R5.
Heartland pulls him back to acting opposite Jessica Chastain in writer-director Shana Feste’s Nashville-set thriller. Lynch plays Jace Jacobs, the boyfriend of a missing country singer, and contributes the track Heartbreak Country to the film’s soundtrack. Heartland arrives on Netflix on Nov. 13.
For a star who grew up in the Disney spotlight, the message this week was simple: the marriage is real — and the privacy around it is intentional.
