Blake Lively’s drinks empire looks set to go quiet. Page Six reports the actress is winding down Betty Booze — and the wider Betty Buzz business — barely three years after the alcoholic line’s rocky debut.
A source confirmed to People that the company, which spans nonalcoholic Betty Buzz mixers and alcoholic Betty Booze canned cocktails, is pulling back from shelves and may shut entirely. Trademark records obtained by TMZ show Betty Buzz and Betty Booze marks still active, while other filings covering beer-based products, nonalcoholic carbonated drinks and related categories have been abandoned. Page Six said Lively’s representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Lively, 39, launched Betty Buzz in 2021 as flavored nonalcoholic bottles meant to drink solo or as mixers, telling People she did not like alcohol’s effects but still wanted to be part of social drinking occasions. In 2023 she expanded into Betty Booze — bourbon- and tequila-based sparkling cans — and faced sharp backlash from fans who called the move a “cash grab” because she has publicly committed to a sober lifestyle. At launch she posted that drinking was not her thing but flavor was, pitching homemade-style recipes, real fruit and “quality booze” as a time-saver for busy parents.
The brands share a personal stamp: both nod to Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ daughter Betty. The couple also share daughters James and Inez and son Olin. The business strain lands alongside Lively’s ongoing legal fight with It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni, adding another public pressure point to a year already heavy with headlines.
For now, the clearest signals are operational — abandoned marks, a source saying the lines are winding down, and shelves expected to lose Betty product. Whether a full corporate shutdown follows remains the question Lively’s camp has yet to answer on the record.
